This is one easy and extremely low calorie recipies, that i just love to make. The best part is that it serves as a meal cum high protein ,high fibre snack. So you can have it when you feel like going on a binge or simply eat it for lunch or dinner. Try it, here is what all you need get started.
2 Papads( medium sized, any brand)
¼ Cup skimmed milk paneer( crmbled)
1 Small onion( chopped)
Peas boiled( handful)
Zeera- ½ teaspoon
Red chilli powder- ½ teaspoon
¼ teaspoon oil
Green coriander leaves- a few
Green chilli (optional)
Salt to taste
In a non stick pan add oil and zeera (cumin seeds). When the zeera starts to splutter add the chopped onions. Add the red chilli powder when the onions turn a bit brown. Now add the crumbled paneer, boiled peas, coriander leaves and salt to taste. Mix well and keep it aside.
Take the papad and keep it on a flat surface. Sprinkle 3-4 drops of water on one side of the papad and smear it all over with your hand. Now take a little of the paneer mixture and place it in the middle of the papad. Fold the edges of the papad inwards to make it look like a gift wrap. Prick the papad wrap with a fork and place it in a microwave safe dish. Place the papad wraps in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1minute depending on how long they take to get roasted. Normally the papads are roasted in about a minute on high temperature in a microwave. However every microwave will differ in terms of temperature settings, so keep that in mind.
Once the papad wraps are done serve them hot with salsa, curd dip or tomato ketchup. To make a meal in itself have a bowl of cucumber salad (cucumber, lime, salt, pepper) and a bowl of clear tomato soup along with your papad rolls. You are filled and spiced up with only 150 calories
TIP- You can experiment with the ingredients if you like. You can use potato, minced chicken, minced veggies, boiled rajma also for the filling.
