Kuttu ka atta and singhare ka atta are both different.Kuttu( buckwheat) ka atta is made from a plant Fagopyrum esculentum. It has a slightly rougher texture as comapared to singhare ka atta( waterchestnut flour). Both these flours are gluten free, so work very well for those allergic to wheat.I do agree there is a lot of confusion among the two.i hope the information helped you.

Kuttu or Kottu or Singhare ka Atta / Are these same or is the Singhara different plant altogether ?
Did not find any reference to Buckwheat grown anywhere in India, and usually everyone mixes up buckwheat with water chestnut ( singhara) here.
Please explain.

Hi, I too have this bloating problem every time i eat. I will admit I do overeat sometimes but even when i don't i get bloated really bad. I even feel bloated when i get up in the mornings before i eat anything. Everything that I am reading is pointing me to ibs or colitis but i really don't know what to do about it. I mean should I go to the Dr. What kinds of meds would help this. I am also being treated for acid reflux and I also had an ulcer about 7 years ago.
