Posted on: November 13, 2008

I bet you must have heard about the soup and weight connection. When it comes to weight loss soup is quite a hit. So what is the deal; with this liquid food. Well here are some facts

  1.  Drinking soup before meals cuts down your hunger by almost 40 percent.
  2. Soups with veggie or meat chunks with a little pasta or noodles thrown in works as a complete meal that too half in calories as compared to a full meal.
  3.  Cream based soups do not make you lose weight. So if you want to have soups prefer a low calorie one before your meals.
  4.  Those who have soup meals tend have fewer cravings than those who stick to only solid food.
  5.  All kinds of soups whether they are clear soups or cream soups have the same effect on the hunger. The only difference lies in the calories you are having in the form of soup.

Research has shown that people who have soups regularly before their meals tend to lose weight faster than those who don’t. With winter coming I think it is a pretty good idea to lose weight having this liquid food. So get those soup pots bubbling…drink to lose weight.

Nice site. I am really looking to lose weight. I just cant seem to get started.
What do you suggest as the best diet program out there?

The best way to lose weight is through a little diet modification along with a scheduled exercise routine.Fad diets don’t really work well, they might give you temporary results but cannot be relied upon in the long term. So if you want to lose weight start by cutting out 500 calories from your daily diet along with a 30 minutes workout. Try this out for a week and then gradually increase your activity level as your stamina increases.Iam sure that’ll give you a head start on your weight loss program. All the best.

Thank u for your comment. pls tell me more about low calorie south indian foods.
