10 Ways To Cut 100 Calories From Your Breakfast

Nothing is more fulfilling than a wholesome breakfast to start your day. However the word “wholesome” is not quite understood to its proper sense when it comes to meals. If you are having oodles of butter on your parantha or a cheesy omelette, then here’s a reality check; you are eating way too much of unwanted fat and less of nutrients. This can add more to those stubborn kilos which you may be battling with at the moment.

Here are 10 ways to make your breakfast nutritious and calorie friendly. By following these tips you can easily cut down 100 calories from your breakfast which works as a bonus for your weight loss plan.

  1.  Switch to skimmed milk instead of full cream milk. (Calories reduced- 80)
  2. If you are the cereal type then switch to having your cereal in a smaller bowl. This way the portions you eat are reduced. (Calories reduced- 20)
  3. Instead of having sweet pancakes, cakes or pastries in the morning, have a bowl of mixed fruits sprinkled with a teaspoon of icing sugar. ( Calories reduced- 100)
  4. Spread a teaspoon of peanut butter on your toast instead regular butter. (Calories reduced- none..protein upppp!!!)
  5.  Avoid adding sugar to your tea, coffee or cereal. (Calories reduced- 40)
  6. Add veggies like tomato, onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms to your omelette instead of cheese. ( calories reduced- 60)
  7. Choose whole wheat (atta) bread over white bread. ( There is no difference in calories, however you add loads of fibre to your breakfast)

  9. Use non stick pan for making omlettes,dosas etc. ( Calories reduced- 90)

A bit of mathematics and you’ll see how easy it is to shed those unwanted kilos. Cut down 100 calories per meal that makes it 300- 500 calories in day. Top it up with an exercise regime and voila!
