5 Best Exercise Regimes For Weight Loss

The best exercise for losing weight is the one which you enjoy doing. There are no hard or fast rules as to which exercise will suit you, doing a workout at your leisure is the best way to shed those kilos. I have compiled a list of the most effective and stress busting workout regimes. Choose the one that you would enjoy doing the most.

  1.  Yoga– If you are the calm and serene type or are just too stressed to workout in a gym, then yoga is the word. Simple breathing exercises and yogic postures give a rhythm and channelize the flow of energy in the body. Yoga is a great stress buster and a wonderful weight losing exercise regime.
  2. Pilates– Known to develop flexibility and strength, Pilates is no doubt one the best way to lose weight. It emphasizes on using the core strength while exercising, which comes from muscles in the abdomen and the back. Pilates has been acquired as an exercise regimen by people of all ages. After all who doesn’t want to be graceful, fit and slim.
  3. Dance– Music! what an amazing way to let your hair down. And if it gets those kilos also down, then that’s what I call a treat. Any form of dance whether classical, jazz, and contemporary; ballet, salsa or jive is a wonderful to lose weight. It gets your heart pumping and those endorphins flowing (feel good hormones). A great cardio and strength routine, dancing is the way.
  4. Walking– Nothing beats the old walking routine. A great outdoor workout which is absolutely free, walking is one of the most popular weight losing exercises. It gives you the pleasure of being on your own, walking at your own pace and gets the blood rushing.
  5. Strength Training– Resistance training or strength training is another form of workout that health freaks swear by. This form of exercise focuses on muscle building which tones up the body and helps you shed those kilos.

There are no fixed rules for a weight loss workout. As long as you are feeling fitter, you know you are on the right track. Once you have achieved your goal weight then stick to more muscle building and toning exercises for maintenance. So have a fabulous workout!

Pilates is definately a fun and sure fire way to loose weight, tone and strengthen, and relieve stress. It actually incorporates all the things that are listed here.
