Low Calorie Coleslaw

Coleslaw goes well with almost anything from Continental dishes to Indian food. Though the mayo adds a lot to it. I simply love coleslaw and can’t bear to part from it owing to just calories. So I have devised a low calorie version of coleslaw which can be eaten as a salad or served as an accompaniment. Let me know what do you think.

Ingredients 

1 cabbage (shredded)

1 carrot (finely chopped, julienne)

1 spring onion (finely chopped)

½ apple (thinly sliced)

1-2 teaspoon white vinegar

1-2 garlic cloves (crushed)

½ teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1/ 2 teaspoon black pepper

Method

Mix vinegar, garlic, salt, sugar and black pepper together and leave it for 20 minutes. Add the dressing to the coleslaw veggies and toss well. Serve with apple slices on the top.

Serves 4

Calories per serving- 63 calories
